Vehicle has deeply penetrated and become essential to our daily life. It has two major characteristics compared with the conventional communication nodes(i.e., mobile phone). First, since vehicles are equipped with large amount of data storage and computational power, they can process the collected data individually and surely store the data. Second, their mobility is remarkably high and thus they can spread the stored data to far away effectively. Therefore, in this study, we focus on vehicular ad-hoc network(VANET) constructed by vehicles only without any support from infrastructure. On one hand, although users usually send and/or obtain the various information through the Internet, certain information(e.g., traffic and wether information) deeply depend on geographical location and time, namely spatio-temporal information. Therefore, our main concenrn is to provide reliable and efficient service by retaining the spatio-temporal information through VANET. We proposed a data transmission control method by considering neighbor nodes' density. Through simulations, we found that our proposed method effectively retains the spatio-temporal information. |
