In this report, we propose a derivation of the approximation error of graph filter banks designed from FIR linear phase filters. We also introduce applications for processing of point cloud attributes using graph filter banks. The proposed graph filter banks have two advantages: They have low approximation error and they are completely parameterized by filter coefficients of FIR linear-phase filters. As experiments, we compared the proposed filter banks with existing filter banks for the approximation error. Furthermore, we evaluated performances of our filter banks in applications on denoising and non-linear approximation of point cloud attributes. |
