We have been studying “Green BTS” which is a base transceiver station using Photovoltaics and storage battery for decreasing electricity demand and reducing loads on the environment. It is also important to construct mobile communication infrastructure resistant to disaster and the failure of power. We focus on the fuel cell which has higher energy density than the lead-acid batteries for the preparation of power failure. To apply for the fuel cell in various different environments with Green BTS, we examined fundamental output characteristics and operation verification in a cold environment. |
