In this paper, we construct a measurement system and propose an experiment-based evaluation method for assessing specific absorption rate (SAR) in a tissue-equivalent liquid phantom for compliance of MHz-band wireless power transfer systems. Two types of WPT systems; i.e., spiral and solenoid types, are used for SAR evaluation and 12 exposure conditions are considered in the experiments. We then measure and evaluate spatial 10g-average peak SAR inside the liquid phantom exposed to the WPT systems by using the measurement system and SAR evalution method. As a result, differences between simulation and measurement results are bounded below 30%, demonstrating validity of the system and the SAR evaluation method, including extrapolation for determining the SAR at the vicinity of the boundary of the liquid phantom. |
