This paper proposes point to multi-point (P-MP) communication systems for beat interference channels with large frequency offset, i.e., fast time-varying beat interference (FTBI) channels. First, this paper proposes a simple channel model for FTBI channels, where the multiple base stations (BSs) simultaneously transmit the same information at the same frequency band in P-MP communication systems. Second, this paper shows that FTBI channels suffer from the maximum frequency offset normalized by symbol rate of 5%, assuming train radio communications. Furthermore, this paper discusses differential space-time coding (DSTC) for FTBI channels. For DSTCs, this paper focuses on a demodulation scheme with channel prediction employing differential multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) transmit diversity (TD) for per transmit antenna differential mapping (PADM). Finally, computer simulation results confirm that the proposed communication scheme has excellent bit error rate (BER) performance on FTBI channels with of 5%. |
