To evaluate SAR of RF devices operated in MHz band, the authors have studied a technique that uses near-field gain of reference antenna in the liquid. In this report, to clarify the distance property of the near-field gain, we formulate an asymptotic power series expansion of the near-field gain in terms of the inverse of the distance from the antenna, we asymptotically expand this series in terms of the inverse of the distance of the amplitude center of the antenna by using Panicali's method, and we find the distance property of the near-field gain which was derived by Dr. Hirose. To check the expansion theorem, which ensures the asymptotic power series expansion of the fields in the homogeneous lossy medium, a rigorous expression of the fields proposed by the current distribution can be derived by using the Fresnel approximation. |
