For height measurement of large area, the cross-track interferometric SAR (XTI SAR) technique becomes popular. The XTI SAR uses the relation between the target height and the range difference between two antennas separated in cross-track direction. The conventional method, based on spaceborne SAR, assumes that the change of off-nadir angle due to the target height is negligible. On airborne SAR, however, the change of off-nadir angle is not negligible, and causes the large measurement error. In this study, considering the single-path cross-track SAR, in which case the positions of antennas are well known, the height measurement method without any assumption is proposed. |
