Denoising and Edge Enhancement for Median Nerve Detection in Ultrasonograpy

(in English) While three-dimensional information of nerves is required for the diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy, we have developed a device for operating a probe, and a method to extract peripheral nerve from an ultrasonography and form a three-dimensional image. Since only once the device captures the same place, unlike controlling a probe artificially, the problem is that the nerve extraction performs in the state that contours between the nerve and tissue is unclear. To solve this problem, we perform denoising and edge enhancement to the ultrasonography and this paper reports the result of the extraction.
