Spread Spectrum Acoustic Communications Using Water Current Sounds for their Spreading Codes

(in English) This paper proposes spread spectrum acoustic communications using natural water current sounds for their spreading codes. For audible frequency band acoustic spread spectrum communications, human in communication areas suffers from uncomfortable sounds due to the conventional spreading code, e.g., M sequence. As the proposed spread spectrum acoustic communications employ not the conventional spreading code but natural water current sounds, the human does not suffer from uncomfortable sounds. Finally, computer simulation results confirm that the proposed spread spectrum acoustic communications suffer from around 5dB sensitivity performance degradation in SNR compared with the conventional spread spectrum acoustic communications. In addition, experimental results compare performance of the proposed spread spectrum acoustic communications and the conventional ones.
