Performance comparison of SSB-DFTs-OFDM and DFTs-OFDM for ultra multi-level modulation in frequency-selective fading

(in English) We have been proposing SSB-DFTs-OFDM (Single Side Band DFT spreading OFDM) scheme for ultra-multi-level modulation to achieve higher spectrum efficiency. Ultra-multi-level modulation SSB-DFTs-OFDM has an advantage of its robustness against reference carrier phase error in BER (Bit Error Rate) performance in AWGN (Additive White Gaussian Noise) channel. As channel estimation error degrades BER performance, its BER performance in frequency selective channel needs to be evaluated when channel estimation is performed using packet preamble for MMSE-FDE (Minimum Mean Square Error Frequency Domain Equalization). This report describes BER performance evaluation of ultra-multi-level modulation SSB-DFTs-OFDM signals in frequency-selective fading and comparison with DFTs-OFDM when channel estimation is performed using the packet preamble.
