(in English) ISO / IEC Guide 51, " Safety aspects — Guidelines for their inclusion in standards " has been revised since 1999 and its third edition has been issued on 2014. The guide is a basic guideline to assist standard writers to include the safety aspects to the ISO / IEC international standard, and widely applicable for consumer products, industrial equipment, process and service. This paper herewith describes the background and overview of Guide 51 revision for the third edition including the content of the discussions at the ISO/IEC Joint Working Group.
