A Study on Spectrum Allocation Methods with Fairness of Long Distance Paths in Elastic Optical Networks
Ryosuke Shinozawa, Baba Ken-ichi (Kogakuin Univ.) PN2016-20
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Elastic Optical
Network can provide the good granular frequency bandwidth by using optical OFDM technology because it can reduce the required bandwidth by using appropriate modulation level from path distance for the path demand.
However, it needs to execute RMSA considering the frequency continuous constraints and adjacent constraints when it allocates bandwidth for the path demand.
Since Long
distance path is necessary to use a low modulation level, it needs the much amount of resources.
Therefore, it is difficult to allocate the bandwidth for the long distance path.
In this paper, we propose the bandwidth control methods. Our methods set dedicated bandwidth corresponding to the path
length and path resources. In our simulation results, we could reduce the difference of the blocking probabilities slightly and allocate the bandwidth fairly regardless the path distance.
