Feasibility Verification of Cycle Based Traffic Balancing Algorithm Using OpenDaylight

(in English) This paper aims to verify feasibility of the cycle-based traffic load balancing method proposed by the previous study on Software-Defined Networking (SDN). SDN has been deployed into a large-scale network where traffic engineering plays an important role for the network utility maximization. In the previous study, the traffic load balancing problem is considered as the Edge Load Factor Balancing (ELB) problem, and the method to solve it is proposed. The proposed method utilizes multiple small cycle structures covering the entire network and performs the optimization in each cycle so that it can achieve fast calculation and parallelization. However, SDN may cause the access concentration to a single controller especially on a large-scale network. Thus, this paper implements the method on a large-scale SDN in order to prove feasibility using OpenDaylight as the SDN platform.
