Design Methods of Magnetically Coupled Resonator WPT System -- Smart Use of Four Impedance Transform Methods --
IIkuo Awai (Ryutech) WPT2016-25
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) It is the basic principle to attain the maximum power transfer efficiency and provide the required power to the load in coupled resonator WPT (Wireless Power Transfer) systems. The impedance is transformed to the adequate value at both the primary and secondary resonator circuits in order to realize the principle, four means being known as typical measures. They have advantages and dis-advantages each other, and hence, proper selection is important according to each purpose. Since those methods are applicable to the 1mary and 2ndary circuit independently, one can combine the best mix of them with a thorough understanding of their properties.
