Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Recognizing human faces from camera images by computer is challenging problem for application to many things such as crime prevention system. To deal with recognition problem with noise such as sunglasses or scarf, Sparse Representation based Classification (SRC) was proposed. In this method, however, recognition accuracy would be poor if the noise had a spread as a plane. For noise robust face recognition, we propose new
SRC by introducing dictionary learning or geometrical bases. In recognition experiment, we demonstrated that our proposed method can achieve higher recognition accuracy.
