We developed a system to estimate the quantity of urination that can electrically detect the impedance changes in auxiliary-pad when wet by the fluid for bedridden elderly patients, without the need to install special sensors in general-auxiliary pads. This study was made to verify of the electrolyte concentration (NaCl) in simulated urine using this system. 4 kinds of simulated urine made of isotonic sodium chloride solution in different electrolyte concentrations and the auxiliary pad has absorbed them certain quantity. Then the auxiliary pad was added at a constant force to the whole by a clear acrylic board from the upper part. We compared the output value of each simulated urine. As a result, the output value was constant regardless of the electrolyte concentration. |
