100-Gbit/s operation of 4-channel directly modulated DFB laser monolithically integrated with MMI coupler

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page) 
(in English) We fabricate a 1.3 μm, 4-channel directly modulated laser (DML) array monolithically integrated multimode interference (MMI) coupler and assemble it on the module based on the CFP2 form factor. By using the module, we achieve clear eye openings under 100-Gbit/s simultaneous operation. Error-free 30-km transmission by using an APD ROSA is achieved.
