An Evaluation of the System to Identify the Measured Person using Bio-Signal

(in English) Volumes and varieties of personal data obtained from PCs, smart phones and IoT devices are increasing. In order to provide a service using data obtained by individuals, data authenticity is important. In previous studies, we proposed a method to prevent illegal data registration by unauthorized substitution. In this method, obtained data from user is linked to a subject who is authenticated using collation data. In this paper, this method applied to the blood pressure data measured at home which can be expected to premium calculation of medical insurance. At first, we obtain two pulse waves from the same person in both authentication and blood pressure measurement. Then, we implemented the system of linking authentication result with blood pressure values by collating them. In order to confirm the feasibility of this system, an evaluate experiment was conducted. According to the evaluation, this system’s FAR is 3.8% and FRR is 6.3%. This shows the possibilities of guaranteeing authenticity of data.
