Distortion compensating optical variable delay line using cross phase modulation assisted optical Fourier transformation

(in English) Optical variable delay line is required in signal timing controller for all optical signal processing.Optical variable delay line is realized with a wavelength conversion and a dispersive medium.However, distortion due to the dispersive medium causes signal degradation.In this paper, we employ cross phase modulation assisted optical Fourier transformation for distortion compensation.We have realized all optical variable delay line without using a phase modulator.Variable delay with small distortion for both intensity- and phase-modulated signal is realized.
