Study on modeling of room impulse response and its room acoustic parameters

(in English) Stochastic models of the room impulse response (RIR) are widely used to represent the measured RIR as parametric representation and to calculate room acoustic indices. There are two typical models: Schroeder's and the generalized RIR models. The former model can accurately represent the decay of reverberation and reverberation time, however calculation errors increased when the direct sound does not locate on the origin, i.e., RIR
has an onset transition. The later model can be extended by adding one parameter to Schroeder’s model as the simplest model and it can correctly calculate the room acoustic indices. However, this model has a problem for correctly calculating time-domain indices such as reverberation time and Deutlichkeit. In this paper, an extension of RIR model has been proposed to solve these problems. This model is extended from Schroeder’s RIR by adding different two parameters so that it seems to be more complex rather than the generalized RIR model. This model can adequately represent the room acoustic indices in both time and frequency domains. This paper showed that the proposed method could adequately reprint RIR as well as the room acoustic indices comparison with typical
methods.
