Many kinds of audio-bases are used to better the sound quality of stereophonic equipments, but their effects seem not always better in improvement of sound quality. But, the mechanism of audio-base to a loaded equipment have not yet clarified, In previous study, we had clarified that an audio-base is effective to reduce inevitable vibration and electrical noise on stereophonic equipment and to improve the sound quality and summing localization under standard stereophonic representation. In this study, to clarify the effect of audio-base shaped in rotating exponential horn for loaded equipment, first we analyze its vibration transmission characteristic based on the wave equation. Then, we derived the input impedance of horn at “throat” or “mouth” to evaluate the difference in direction of vibration transmission characteristic. As the result, the audio base passes through vibration one direction and prevent opposite direction in specific frequency range. The same characteristic is obtained for vibration energy put in to audio-base. These characteristics correspond with experimental results on vibration velocity observed on the surfaces of test pieces shaped in rotating exponential curve. |
