Accuracy Considerations of Electromagnetic Simulation for Designing Power Transformers

(in English) For the realization of the shorter design term, lower design costs and higher efficiency power supply products, necessity of electromagnetic simulation technique is increasing. In this report, the accuracy of electromagnetic simulation is discussed. We simulated and measured the several parameters including AC resistance, leakage inductance and electrostatic capacitance between primary and secondary windings of 24-layers planar transformer. Simulated and measured results have good agreement therefore the validity of the electromagnetic simulation results for the power supply design is revealed.
