Usually, duplexers used in base station consist of transmitting and receiving filters, both of which are 10- to 15-pole filters, respectively. However, volume of the duplexer occupies about half of small base station. Thus, miniaturization of the duplexer is strongly expected. By creating attenuation poles near passband, out-of-band attenuation becomes steep and high selectivity can be obtained. As a result, filter with a fewer number of pole can satisfy a required attenuation specification. Thus, filters become compact. The purpose of this study is to establish an analytical design method of attenuation pole for half-wavelength parallel-coupled resonator filters. It was confirmed by circuit simulation how attenuation pole frequencies were changed by respective connected capacitances between terminals of coupled resonators. Three attenuation poles were generated outside the passband and the frequencies of poles were controlled, successfully. Circuit equation of the filter was derived and attenuation pole frequencies were designed analytically. |
