[Technology Exhibit] Demo: High-Speed Reliable LED-to-Camera Communication for Smartphones

(in English) LED-to-camera communication for smartphones is promising as low-cost, small-size, and intuitive data access to things in the IoT era. Towards intermittent time gaps between camera frames, we are developing high-speed reliable LED-to-camera communication with a packet retransmission strategy which leverages the periodicity of burst packet losses. Our developed prototypes which measure temperature periodically and transmit the stored data to a smartphone enable high-speed reliable LED-to-camera communication using ATtiny85 and 5~mm-LED.
