Design of IIR Filters Adjusting A Parameter Depending on Specification

(in English) In this paper, a design method for IIR ( Infinite Impulse Response ) filters using PSO ( Particle Swarm Optimization ) is developed, in which a penalty function is added to the objective function when the stagnation occurs.In the previous method, a suitable penalty range was determined by using the gradient of objective function of multi-swarms, however, high computational cost was required.In this study, a penalty range is calculated by single-swarm in early iterations.Then, the smallest value of the penalty range is chosen, and then the penalty range is fixed to its value.Several design examples are shown that the proposed method could achieve more accurate and more high-speed design than the previous method.
