Development of a Student Information System for Members of Faculty of Engineering in Takushoku University

(in English) Student information in a university is composed of students’ personal data and logs of on/off-campus activities. The student information helps staffs to check the growth of each student, give shrewd advice to students and begin the institutional research. However, if the student information is divided and managed by several unit of the university, data aggregation requires time and effort. Faculty of Engeneering in Takushoku University developed a student information system that aggregate fragments of the student information distributed in the university, and organizes the data, and provides it to faculty staffs. This paper describes overview of the student information system.
