Electric Field Distribution in Dielectric waveguide for short-patch-array Fed Dual-direction Beam Dielectric Antenna

(in English) The authous investigate relationshies between electric field distributions in the dielectric waveguide and radiation characteristics for short-patch-array fed dual-direction beam dielectric antenna using the Method of Moment. This antenna consist of the rectangular shape dielectric rod (dielectric consist εr=2.75) for the antenna aperture and two-element short-patch-array antenna, which is the feeder for the dielectric rod. The authous clarify that maximum antenna gain of the dual-direction beam can be obtained when the electric field widely distributes on the end aperture of the dielectric rod and the wave front becomes plane parallel to the end aperture.
