As one of applied techniques of aerial ultrasonic waves, we studied techniques for removing liquids in elongated pore. Specifically, we investigate to irradiate a high-intensity aerial ultrasonic waves (drive frequency:20 kHz) into the pores with open ends for removing the liquid in elongated pore using acoustic radiation force.
In the previous study, it was clarified that liquid in rectangular elongated pore (diameter:0.6 mm, length:20 mm) can be instantly removed by irradiation with high-intensity aerial ultrasonic wave(drive frequency:20 kHz, sound pressure:20 kPa).However, because this technology is a phenomenon occurring in an extremely short time, there is a limit to experimentally observe the behavior of liquid and to elucidate the details of its mechanism. Therefore, in order to elucidate the mechanism, it is necessary to confirm the phenomenon by physical simulation based on theory. We consider that it is possible to establish a more efficient liquid removal method by clarifying this mechanism.
In this study, as a basic study, we simulate the behavior of liquid in elongated pores using the MPS particle method and aim to reproduce the liquid behavior in the experiment. |
