In order to study the application and benefit of Sensor Network in Information Centric Networking (ICN) for the Internet of Things (IoT) era, in this paper, we propose a tree-based ICN model utilizing the sensors to complete the transactions in network. We simulate the proposed model using ndnSIM and the evaluation results show that all the performance metrics, including the number of packets, total run time and average throughput substantial increase as we increase number of sensors in the network. |
