[Poster Presentation] Measurement and Analysis of Pulse Transit Time in Neck Using Photoplethysmography Circuit

(in English) The pulse wave velocity (PWV) which is obtained from the pulse transit time (PTT) as an index of arteriosclerosis is used in healthcare. In this work, we have designed a reflection type photoelectric pulse wave detecting circuit which can measure in the neck, measured simultaneously at neck and fingertip, and analyzed PTT arising from the two pulse waves, PWV verified whether it is possible to measure the PWV in the neck. As a result, the PWV calculated from the PTT obtained at the neck and fingertip was similar to the PWV of the conventional method. This result suggests the utility of measuring PTT at the neck and fingertip. It is considered that PWV can be measured on the neck and fingertip.
