In this paper we discuss an architecture that exploits observations produced by all elements related to a virtual network environment in order to perform the elastic adjustment of resource allocation in response to sporadic incidents and dynamic changes in system requirements. On the contrary, current management and control approaches only consider observations from the resources that are affected by such events, conducting to deficient allocation strategies. Our architecture follows an autonomic control approach and takes advantage of the semantic formulation of both observations and control objectives to somehow infer different corrective and perfective actions to improve the controlled system. |
