| 抄録 | （和） | 家族の介護時間の増加など介護を取り巻く環境は厳しく、介護者自身が就いていた仕事を辞めてしまう介護離職の問題が発生するなど、家族の介護と、介護以外の自分の時間との両立が課題となっている。本稿では、家族の介護の実態を探るため、家族の介護経験者へのインタビュー調査を行った。その結果、介護者が周囲の人と社会的なつながり（ソーシャルネットワーク）を持ち、介護者自身が介護を肯定的に捉えられることが両立の鍵であることがわかった。そこで、介護者のソーシャルネットワーク構築のきっかけを掘り下げた分析を行ったところ、介護の開始直後は情報が少なく一人で抱え込み介護を否定的に捉えていること、その後、特に、社会的に孤立しやすい介護者は、周囲からの情報提供や支援により介護を肯定的なものとして捉えていく様子が浮き彫りになった。以上から、介護の開始を早期に把握する仕組みと、孤立しやすい介護者に対して社会的なつながりを支援する仕組みの重要性が示唆された。 |
| （英） | Long-term domestic care of the elderly requires a number of sacrifices, one of which being the additional time required for caregivers to provide help to family members. Balancing their own time with the time required to provide domestic care causes caregivers conflicts that may demand them to leave their professional careers. We interviewed experienced caregivers as to the realities of care for aging family members. From our interviews, we found that it is key for caregivers to share their free time and family-care time by networking socially with other caregivers so as to think of family care in a positive manner. We then analyzed the interviewees’ social network construction process. We found that the lack of access to a community with which to share their experiences led caregivers to their initially negative attitudes toward their responsibilities. It was observed that external support prevented caregivers from feelings of alienation, and replaced the burden of their care with a source of positive outlook. These results demonstrated the importance of infrastructure which identifies the beginning of domestic caregiving and supports caregivers to build social networks. | |
