A Study on an Air Traffic Control Difficulty Index Based on Controller's Proximity Recognition Trials

(in English) The authors have been proposed a difficulty index of air traffic control based on trajectory information of aircraft. In order to validate the index, an investigation trial of proximity recognition for air traffic controllers was carried out. Based on the data obtained by the trial, the difficulty values for multiple pairs of aircraft were calculated and compared with the results of thresholds obtained from the recognition tests. Variation characteristics of difficulty values are investigated. This paper describes the overview of the method and results of the investigation.
