Study on a Virtual Resource Room for Deaf or Hard of Hearing Children in an Inclusive Educational Environment

(in English) Based on the study carried out in 2009-2012, we started the research on a virtual resource room from 2013. A virtual resource room will ensures information according to grade and class (remote real-time captioning), shares educational material for self-activities between schools, and provides educational consultation for the guardians of deaf or hard of hearing children. Teachers in charge could consult and receive advice from teachers with experience in education for deaf or hard of hearing children, on the website. In connection with the implementation of the virtual resource room, a questionnaire survey was carried out on special classes for handicapped children in Japan.
