Taro Murakami (Kyushu Women's Univ.) HCS2016-87
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This study aimed to investigate the developmental change of “humor” and “smile” in social interaction during childhood. Specially, this study focused on when do children express a smile and humor to make other laugh intentionally. Moreover, this study also aimed to establish a methodology that focuses on the development of expression of the smile and the humor. 588 smile episodes were collected and categorized the humor action of 0- to 6-year-olds. The results showed a developmental change that children become to smile or laugh at social interaction with age. And the analysis of humor action suggested that children begin to product humor action around two-year-olds.
