| 抄録 | （和） | 運動元となる身体部位と運動先となる対象のそれぞれの位置のマッピングが不一致な場合、選択反応に困難さが生じる可能性がある。本研究では刺激の位置と色に対応して、左右に配置したスイッチを左右いずれかの手足で反応する課題を高齢者と若齢者に課して加齢の効果を検討した。エラーと反応時間の分析に加え、課題中の脳活動を近赤外線分光法（NIRS）により測定した。実験参加者は画面に提示される画像の形態情報（◯/△）から左右どちらの手（もしくは足）で反応するか、色情報（赤/緑）から左右いずれのスイッチを押すか判断した。スイッチを押す手足の左右とスイッチの位置の左右が不一致な条件は一致する条件よりも反応時間が長かった。測定した16チャンネル中９チャンネルの脳血流量は高齢者で有意に賦活量が多かった。そのうち6チャンネルは一致条件よりも不一致条件で有意に賦活量が多かった。高齢者が身体部位のマッピングと不一致な位置にあるスイッチに反応する場合、手足に関わらず多くの前頭葉の脳活動が必要になると考えられる。 |
| （英） | Previous studies demonstrated that elderly individuals show disadvantage with in a stimulus-response (S-R) compatibility task. For instance, the boxes and arrows on a computer monitor indicate responses: the arrows indicate which hand, left or right, and the boxes indicate which finger to use left or right. In some cases, performance of elderly individuals were comparable to those of young adults, while brain activities of elderly individuals were higher than those of young adults. It is still unclear whether elderly individuals perform as good as young adults do, when responses are to perform by feet. In addition, we have no information whether elderly individuals show disadvantage in a choice reaction task in which two response sets, which are the sets of actions that the participants may have to perform. The purpose of this study was to examine this R-R mapping effect in elderly and young adults. The stimuli consisted of colors (red/green) and shapes (◯/△). The colors of the stimuli corresponded to the position (left/right) of the button to press. The shapes of the stimuli corresponded to the hand/foot to perform (left/right hand/foot). The behavioral data and brain activities with a near-infrared spectoroscotopy (NIRS) were analyzed. The elderly showed the compatibility effect for reaction times. The NIRS scores in front-dorsolateral area were greater in elderly individuals, especially when the incompatible combination of the two-dimensional responses was required. However, substantial difference between hands and feet was not observed in two age groups, suggesting general declines in frontal area in elderly individuals. | |
