On Some Variations of Information Hiding Strategies Based on Complete Complementary Codes
Tetsuya Kojima (NIT, Tokyo College) EMM2016-79
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Complete complementary code (CCC) is a spread spectrum sequence family with good correlation properties. Information hiding schemes based on CCC has been proposed and applied into image and audio signals. There are some variations in the proposed information hiding approach based on CCC in terms of modulation method, the effect on the cover objects, and so on. In all of such variations, the embedded signal is constructed by overlapping the signals for each embedded bit that is modulated by a conventional DS-SS modulation scheme with a sequence generated by components of CCC. In this report, we introduce an image data hiding strategy that can improve the stego image quality without decreasing the quantity of the embedded secret data without any bit errors in the extraction of the embedded message. In the literature, there is a digital fingerprinting scheme that overlaps the modulated signals for each embedded bit in a similar way as the proposed data hiding scheme by using CCC. This paper includes the discussions on the comparison between these schemes from the viewpoint of the modulation strategies.
