(in English) Highly reliable flexible display has been crucial technology for future display applications such as large roll-screen TVs and automotive displays. We have developed foldable liquid crystal display (LCD) using ultra-thin polyimide substrates with polymer walls structure by the coat-debond fabrication method and successfully achieved small curvature radius less than 2mm. This paper presents an overview of the recent development of flexible LCDs.
