Toward End-User Programming for Service Robots in Stores

(in English) In this research, we propose a programming tool for social service robots in stores toward end-users such as retail managers and sales workers who lack programming expertise and computer skill. If end-users input parameters which are unconsciously suitably decided by retail managers and sales workers when they are executing tasks, these parameters are able to define as implicit ones. We hypothesize that what end-users can implicitly input these parameters without being conscious of presence of them is an effective method for easy robot programming. In order to verify our hypothesis, we design and implement two types of user interfaces that users can implicitly or explicitly input implicit parameters, and evaluate each programming method through the experiments.
