[Invited Lecture] IoT M2M Cloud Servers and Wi-SUN sensor networks

(in English) Use of IoT systems is expected in a wide range of fields, including not only ICT industry but also agriculture, disaster prevention, environmental monitoring and infrastructure fields. Particularly in industrial field, "Industry 4.0" has been attracting attention, leading to higher expectations of IoT systems. As wireless sensor network technology that is significant to form IoT systems, its certain methods are spotlighted. This study introduces probable cases of development and deployment of Wi-SUN sensor networks in conjunction with M2M cloud servers in infrastructures, railroads and transportation, and specifically benefits of IEEE802.15.4e/IEEE802.15.4g compliant Wi-SUN systems used as sensor networks for real-time sensing and used in conjunction with M2M cloud servers.
