In-band full-duplex (IBFD) wireless communication is spotlighted. IBFD system simultaneously transmits and receives at the same frequency for improving spectrum efficiency. However, it is difficult to implement IBFD systems owing to strong self interference (SI). In this report, a design method for SI cancellation circuit utilizing the inverted SI signal is proposed. First, we clarify the SI cancellation characteristics under the change in the insertion loss, the phase shift, and the group delay in the circuit. In shown that design specifications can be determined by the desired amount of cancellation and the bandwidth. To validate our design method, we fabricate a SI cancellation circuit which satisfies the designed values. The experimental result shows that the circuit achieves the desired amount of cancellation. |
