Design Method of Attenuation Poles for Electromagnetically-Coupled Half-Wavelength and Quarter-Wavelength Resonator Filters

(in English) In wireless systems,filter with a desired performance is used. However, sometimes,an additional bandpass filter might be required to suppress interference in actual environment. A two-stage filter with attenuation poles is preferable to enhance rejection performance. A comb-line filter with attenuation poles is realized by giving anti-resonance characteristics to inter-resonator coupling. Although comb-line filter often uses I/O configuration with tap feeding, the analytical design method was not established, yet. Thus, the purpose of this study is to establish an analytical design method for tap-fed comb-line filter with attenuation poles, based on the design method for half-wavelength coupled-resonator filter, and confirm its characteristics. Circuit equations of the filter were derived and attenuation pole frequencies were designed analytically from these equations.
