A consideration on traffic control by information floating

(in English) In information floating (IF), information exchange between mobile nodes is restricted to a designated area (transmittable area: TA) to prevent disorderly diffusion of information in epidemic communication. In our past research, we considered to use IF for prompting behavior changes of mobile nodes to avoid accident site around an intersection. In such a situation, we theoretically analyzed the probability that a node passing through TA cannot receive information before reaching the intersection and the size of TA so that the probability is close to the desired value. In this report, we theoretically analyze IF considering the traffic volume toward the accident site and the correlation between traffic volume, node density, and velocity. From the analysis, we discuss how these factors affect the performance of IF. In addition, we consider a situation where some volume of traffic can flow into the direction of the accident site and consider to control such a traffic volume by using IF.
