A Compact Waveguide Power Divider Controlling Dividing Ratio with Multiple Conducting Posts

(in English) A compact waveguide power divider controlling dividing ratio has been investigated. The power divider consists of a rectangular waveguide section with a coaxial probe in order to deliver microwave power from the waveguide to the coaxial line, and four conducting posts are incorporated for control of the dividing ratio. The divider with the range of the delivered power ratio from 0.0% to 99% under less than -27.5dB return loss was designed with electromagnetic field simulations. The designed divider is compact which has the length of the waveguide section compared with the width of the waveguide. The delivered power ratio of a prototyped divider was changed from 1.6% to 99.3%.
