Under emergency condition, a lot of general calls are blocked. Unconnected new calls should be connected more frequently. On the other hand, repeated call which they hope to connect to several places should have some room for accommodation. Even if the number of calls required until a new call is connected increases a little, it is allowed to the users to some extent. In this paper, the blocking rate of new call is defined as the consequence of several call trials. Then, we propose a method to set threshold in trunk reservation, which can accommodate more repeated calls by increasing the allowable blocking rate of new calls. We assume that a large number of repeated calls arrive and its arrival rate is much larger than that of new calls. We model arrival of only new calls and derive the approximated threshold. In this situation, the result of the computer simulation shows that more permissible transmission trials, more repeated calls can be accommodated, satisfying the allowable blocking rate of new calls. |
