Study on performance improvement of uplink transmission for local dynamic map data using V2V cooperative communication

(in English) In intelligent transport systems (ITS), advanced driver assistance systems utilizing local dynamic map (LDM) have attracted much attention recently. Wireless communications are indispensable for information transmission of mobile vehicles, and low-latency wireless transmission is required to transmit volatile LDM data. To satisfy this requirement, we propose an uplink cooperative relay transmission scheme using two timeslots, in which a near vehicle relays far vehicle data by non-orthogonal superposition relaying, and the quality of far vehicle data is improved at base station by maximum ratio combining. The high-latency upper layer retransmission can be avoided by this scheme. The performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated by link budget calculation and numerical simulations.
