Autonomous Mobile Robot Determining Destination Using the Word Concept Association

(in English) In recent years, a robot that becomes a partner of a human being is sought and expected to support on a daily life. In order to realize this, it is necessary for the robot to act autonomously according to the user's request. In this paper, we propose a robot that autonomously moves to the destination by determining the destination to satisfy the request from the user's request sentence. For determining the destination, we use the word concept association to make flexible semantic estimation for the request in natural language. For the autonomous movement, we use a stereo camera and a range sensor to avoid detected obstacles and aim for the destination.
