Tomoya Yatsu, Tatsuya Ohtsuki, Motoharu Matsuura (UEC) PN2016-86
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Along with the expansion in demand for cloud services, photonic data centers are attracting attention as next generation data centers.
All optical wavelength converter is an essential device for photonic data center, but this device for PAM-4 modulation have some problems.
We experimentally demonstrate a wavelength conversion of a pulse amplitude modulation signal using a quantum-dot semiconductor optical amplifier, and achieve high conversion performance with signal regeneration effect.
