A novel measurement technique is proposed for on board calibration of phased array antenna (PAA) by using near field rotating element electric field vector method (REV). By this technique, partitions of PAA can be made and near field calibrated can be done in less time, which is requirement of Solar Power Satellite (SPS). PAA was developed and Initial tests were performed on one partition of the PAA, which validated the method to be used for more number of partitions of PAA. |
