Inter-terminal Interference Evaluation of Full duplex MIMO Using Measured Channel

(in English) The authors are studying full duplex~(FD)~Multiple-Input and Multiple-Output~(MIMO)~communication method, where the signal the uplink and the downlink transmissions among the base station and the multiple terminals are performed at the same time and in the same frequency. Since the communication of the uplink and the downlink are performed simultaneously in this system, the communication speed is theoretically doubled compared with the conventional Time Division Duplex~(TDD)~method. However, there is concern that the transmission capacity will be degraded due to the inter-terminal interference because the uplink signal reaches the downlink terminal. In order to solve this problem, this study proposes the new scheme to improve the transmission capacity by suppressing inter-terminal interference by using eigen-beamforming at the uplink terminal. However, the eigen-beamforming degrades the transmission capacity due to the consumption of the excitation degree of freedom. Hence, the transmission capacity characteristics in the FD-MIMO communication method were clarified using propagation channel information obtained by outdoor experiment, and it showed that the proposed communication method is more effective in improving the communication capacity than the conventional communication method.
